Asiana Airlines holds an event in Seattle to promote Incheon International Airport as the best transferring airport
On November 5th at the Radisson Hotel in Seatac, Asiana Airlines and Incheon International Airport invited about 100 people from various traveling agencies to advertise and attract transferring passengers.
Sang-won Yoo, the deputy general manager, who made a trip from Seoul for this event stated in his presentation that the Incheon International Airport has increased the maximum standard transferring time to 72 hours (2 nights, 3 days) from what was originally 24 hours. With an increased transferring time, travelers transferring through Incheon International Airport heading to Southeast Asia, the Mideast, Indonesia, and several Chinese cities such as Beijing, Guangzhou, and Shanghai are able to stay in the capital region without a valid visa.
Sang-won also added in his presentation that "There is not only a free interpreter and a guide but also a free travel package for transferring passengers." For example, there is a program for transferring passengers to tour around Seoul. He pointed out that there are many service amenities beyond this that makes the Incheon International Airport the best transferring airport.
Tae-yup Kim, the regional manager, supported the Incheon International Airport by stating how Asiana has been the strongest carrier in Seattle and asked for continuous support on behalf of Asiana.
In addition, it is Tae-yup Kim's last year of his 4-year tenure in Seattle and in his welcoming remarks at the beginning of the presentation, he mentioned how much he appreciated the nature of Washington State and emphasized that even after he returns to Korea early next year, he will continue to pay close attention to the market development of Seattle and Asiana.
