‘Girin’, ‘Tray Kitchen’, ‘Trove’ makes it on the Seattle Times’ list
Three Korean restaurants have been listed on "The Seattle Times' Top 10 New Restaurants" list. After reviewing various restaurants in the city for the past 12 months, Seattle Times restaurant critic Providence Cicero picked his top 10 list, including Girin (pictured above; 501 Stadium Place, Seattle) by Steve Han, Tray Kitchen (2014 Leary Way NE, Seattle) by Heong Soon Park, and Trove by Rachel Yang (500 E Pike St., Seattle).
Girin offers an array of dishes with the sharable ssam set, which refers to the leafy greens and herbs used for wrapping meat. At Tray Kitchen, waiters roam with trays of food and you can select your choice from a dozen little seasonal dishes. Lastly, you can enjoy Korean-style BBQ with built-in gas grill at Trove, owned by husband-and-wife chefs Rachel Yang and Seif Chirchi, who jointly managed another successful local Korean venue called ‘Joule’ years earlier.
Alongside the three Korean venues listed above, the following appeared on the Top 10 list:
Chavez (Mexican), Manolin (Caribbean),Omega Ouzeri (Greek), Salare (Italian), Single Shot (American fusion), Stateside (French fusion), and Vendemmia (Italian).
