On November 18th, THINK (The Human Rights in North Korea), a non-profit organization created by students at the University of Washington to advocate human rights issues in North Korea, collaborated with KSA and DFUSA to hold a second event regarding Korean refugees.

Grace Jo and Pastor John Yoon spoke at this event about their experience as North Korean refugees.

Grace Jo is a North Korean refugee who is now a human rights activist from Virginia. She is the Vice-President of the non-profit organization NKinUSA, which helps North Korean refugees living in the United States and China. As a continuum of the last event, she shared her survival story of her family and the suffering that she went through in Chinese prison. She emphasized that we have to learn to love and care about our own country and it is important to raise awareness about the human rights issues in North Korea.

Reverend John Yoon is a missionary also supporting the issue of human rights in North Korea and North Korean refugees. He shared his experience as a North Korean refugee and also the testimonies that he has heard while serving as a missionary.
