The Priests, a Korean film viewed by over 4.5 million people within 20 days since the time of its release in Korea, will be released at AMC Theaters in Lynnwood Alderwood Mall on December 4th.

The film stars two of the most celebrated actors in Korean cinema today, Dong-won Kang and Yoon-seok Kim, as the two male protagonists.

A girl (played by Sodam Park) is haunted by mysterious symptoms after getting involved in a hit-and-run accident in the city of Seoul. Father Kim (played by Yoon-seok Kim), a troubled priest who is shunned by the church for various counts of misconduct, sets out a plan to rescue the girl through exorcism in spite of the suspicion and opposition he faces. In order for his plan to succeed, he needs an accomplice.

Deacon Choi (played by Dong-won Kang) is chosen from a group of seminary students by the church officials and reluctantly joins the scheme, with a secret mission to spy on Father Kim. The two walk into the girl’s bedroom and begin the dangerous ritual, fully aware of the possibility that they may never be able to walk out of that room again.

The distributing company CJ Entertainment America expressed their hopeful forecast for the movie, as the subject of exorcism has never been tried in Korean cinema.
