On the evening of December 6th at the open hall in Federal Way KOAM TV, KAC-WA held an end of the year event. At this successful event, approximately 150 people attended, mostly consisting of first generation Koreans.
Most of the Seattle's Korean association group directors attended, along with Mark Miloscia, Washington State Senator, and Linda Kochmar, member of the Washington House of Representatives visited the event as well.
Joon-woo Lee, the President of KAC-WA said that, "In 2015, we received earnest response by leading an establishment of regulation for an election guide book in the Korean language, hosting a mentoring event for the students at the University of Washington, and other various networking events." He added, "Around the second half of next year, KAC-WA will hire paid part-time employees in order to work on the positive lines, and plan to receive membership fees in order to increase responsibility among members."
The Korean society also applauded all the hard volunteer work that KAC-WA has done.
Soon-ah Kim, the chief director said, "KAC-WA can only grow by walking together with the Korean citizens. Like how the whole neighborhood take action to raise one child, we ask that the Seattle Korean community supports KAC unsparingly." She especially thanked Advisory Board Members for all their financial support.
Along with a congratulatory message from Byung-gun Kim from the consulate general in Seattle and a recap on the history of KAC-WA from Shari Song, this occasion was for complimenting the achievements made by KAC this year.
