K-Pop World Festival

* Please note that there will be a pre-screening round before the actual event and only those finalists will be competing on the above date.
ELIGIBILITY and PRIZE
The audition will be separated into two categories and you are allowed to apply for only one – VOCAL or PERFORMANCE (dance). This contest is open to everyone and 1st through 4th place winners will be nominated to be awarded with a prize. ($1,000 prize for the 1st place winner!)
Even though all contestants are eligible to win a prize, one team from each category who meet the KBS qualifications will advance to the 2nd round in the contest along with other regional winners all over the world. (If the 1st place has a disqualification; 2nd place will advance into the second round.)
Most importantly, PLEASE NOTE that only NON-KOREANS will be eligible for the chance to fly to Korea if chosen as a finalist to compete in the 2016 K-Pop World Festival in Changwon, Republic of Korea.
* Please be aware that winning a spot from competing at the regional preliminary contest DOES NOT guarantee entry into the K-Pop World Festival. In case of a group, only three members will be provided with airfare and accommodations by KBS.
This contest is not to be confused with other audition programs! This contest serves a primary purpose to globally spread the K-Pop and the Korean culture. Winners are not auditioning to become a recording star or a performer – but it is a competition of skill and winners will be chosen accordingly to the criteria.

(Although not required, we highly recommend a short self-introduction in the beginning of the audio/video file.)
