MARO is one of Korea's premier traditional music and dance troupe that is internationally acclaimed, and the magic of their performance lies in unifying the performers and the audiences through the power of tradition. It's bound to be a memorable time, and you will be whisked away to “Leodo,” a fantasy island through the harmony of splendid costumes, heartfelt movements, passionate drumming, and enchanting songs.
Audience members of all ages and backgrounds will thoroughly enjoy the traditional and local folk culture of Jeju Island, the largest and historical island in South Korea. Included in the performance will be Nongak, a traditional percussive music and dance genre of the Korean farmers that was recently recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
