SeattleN’s 2nd Annual Korean Language Essay Contest

SeattleN, the fastest growing online media in the Seattle area, is hosting the Second Annual Korean Language Essay Contest. This contest will help foster the dreams of Korean Americans as well as provide understanding and appreciation of Korean history and culture that are held highly by first generation Koreans.
Participant:
Residence of the Pacific Northwest (USA)
Student in elementary, middle, high school, college or other
Non-Korean participants may submit essays in English
Topic:
Republic of Korea, Unification of North and South, 70th Independence Day, The Korean Wave, Dokdo Island, Korean-American
Instructions: Essays must meet the following requirements
1. Essay must be based on one of the topics given above.
2. 10 pages of 200 word square manuscript paper (1-2 pages of letter paper)
3. Each essay must contain the following information: Name, Mailing Address, Name of school (if you are a student), Phone Number or Email
In order to prevent ghostwriting, in the case of middle and high school students writing in Korean, we may have an interview after selecting the reserve winner.

Both online and paper submissions are due by June. 6th. 2015.
The winners will be announced no later than June. 13th. 2015

(The grand prize will include an Asiana round-trip ticket from Seattle to Korea)
